White crowns are the esthetic answer to baby teeth that have large decay. Caregivers now have the option to choose the white crown over a stainless steel crown if they are concerned with the appearance of silver in the mouth. They are also a great option for areas of large decay on the front baby teeth, as they are stronger and more long-lasting than white fillings that can’t withstand constant use. They can be brushed the same as a normal tooth. The crown is glued to the child’s baby tooth and will fall out just as a normal tooth exfoliates when it’s ready.
